About Us
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Our Story
From an early age, I was immersed in the world of neuroscience. My grandmother, a scientist who got her degree in microbiology at the university of British Colombia, sparked my curiosity long before I understood what the word “neuroscience” even meant. Every time she visited, we turned my kitchen into a laboratory—whether we were crafting homemade lava lamps or experimenting with acids to create chemical reactions, science was never just a subject; it was an adventure. Those early experiences planted the first seeds of my fascination with science.
My interest deepened when my best friend’s grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Her family has always felt like an extension of my own, so watching someone who felt like a grandmother to me slowly lose pieces of herself was heartbreaking. Over the years, I saw how Alzheimer’s altered her memory, her relationships, and ultimately took her life. When she passed away three years ago, the loss left a profound impact on everyone who loved her. Her smile, laughter, and warmth are deeply missed, and the questions of her illness such as, Why did this happen? What causes the brain to deteriorate? Could anything have been different?, have stayed with me ever since.
Those questions are what led me to create NeuroLink, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals living with neurological disorders. Our mission is to bring joy, conversation, and meaningful engagement to residents in care facilities while also educating the community and raising funds for neurological research. At NeuroLink, we spend time with people affected by Alzheimer’s and other neurological conditions, offering social and emotional support—because every mind, no matter its state, deserves compassion, dignity, and connection.
